As 2008 Chair of the AIA Technology in Architecture Practice Knowledge Community, Tony lead the team to focus TAP’s national conference on ecologically responsible built environment, highlighting the three inevitable technologies: collaboration, interoperability, and Building Information Modeling in the context of an urgent social agendum. TAP is collaborating with Committee on the Environment, Center for Building Science and Performance, and Integrated Practice communities in preparing a wide-ranging and comprehensive view of the relationships between information technology, building and the ecology.
Tony Rinella is Principal and Chief Information Officer of Anshen+Allen, Architects continuing his 20+ year leadership in that firm with current emphasis on Building Information Modeling / Analysis and Integrated Project Delivery. A strong believer in the transformative power of the built environment on individuals, communities and the earth, Tony is dedicated to improving knowledge and collaboration technologies to better inform design decisions so that we can be more effective and ecologically responsible designers and builders.
