Change the World 2008

Harnessing BIM Technology and Integrated Project Delivery for Sustainable Design

I arrived on time for this session and it was already in full swing. I'm still in full catch-up mode.

The second part of the presentation is starting, dealing with BIM scoping issues, level of detail issues, and some other seldom discussed topics. This part of the presentation is dealing with work done by Georgia Tech students and Chuck Eastman. One is my own project in Atlanta, so I am back on track.

Having said that, some of this is pretty esoteric. How do I put this to use in developing BIM requirements as an owner?

The LOD (level of detail) discussion is interesting. This is stuff I can evaluate as an owner to set realistic expectations from our A-Es. This also gets into some of the translation issues I have seen recently between design models and construction models.

I arrive ten minutes late too, but will have some information in the first part in a while.

Thanks. I am sure it was good information, but missing the first part makes the information hard to process.

Thought all the comments for this Track ("A") were going under..."Toward an Integrated Academic Curriculum and Lifelong Professional Learning" discussion... I have posted some comment on the first part of the 1:45 session there...

Thanks. It wasn't clear to me. We can move this discussion there.
